The problem isn’t that they don’t want to make money; it’s that they don’t have the mindset that allows them to make more money.

Honestly, they act in a totally different way than they should.

As a result, they usually fail.

The truth is that if you want to make a lot of money, you must act in specific ways. Your attitude toward money, or how you handle money, will determine your level of wealth. Basically, your wealth is a result of the actions you take.

No matter if you want to make money online or offline, the basic success principles are the same. It starts right from your mindset.

1. No Risk-Taking Mindset

The amount of risk you are willing to take is directly proportional to the kind of financial success you can achieve in your life.

It’s a good thing to be looking for safety and security. However, if it is preventing you from progressing in your life, you have a serious problem. Do you know what successful people have in common? It’s not their money, brains, or skills. What they all have in common is a risk-taking mindset.

I am not talking about being reckless though. I’m talking about having the courage to do what you need to do.

If you don’t take any risks, you will get nowhere in life. This is not only true with making money, but with everything you do.

In fact, if you don’t take any risks, you’re essentially risking everything. If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you’ll have to settle for the ordinary.

There are plenty of different ways to make money online. Hundreds more you can create through your creativity and innovative ideas. However, most people are scared to take risks and are unwilling to try new things. They’re looking for something safe or something that doesn’t cost anything.

In most cases, you would have to invest money in order to see any positive results faster. The majority of newbies want everything to be free.

If you are scared to try new things, ideas, or concepts, my advice to you is to not let your fear discourage you from trying something new.

You never know what would work until you give it a shot.

Learn to take calculated risks.

Get out of your comfort zone and try things you never did before. You may be surprised to find out that you like these new things.

2. No Willingness to Learn

People who are successful at anything in life are great learners.

They are never satisfied with what they know.

Their knowledge never makes them proud of themselves for what they know. They always feel the need to learn more.

They want to be the best in their field. They are not complacent with what they have already achieved. They keep on looking for opportunities to improve themselves. They don’t consider themselves experts, they consider themselves students who are still learning their craft.

Wealthy people never stop learning.

And, they are always on the lookout for new knowledge and skills that can help them to become more successful.

You can develop a learning mindset by constantly learning new things every single day. Read, listen, and watch people who are successful.

That should be your attitude.

I’ve seen people who are unable to pay their bills. Nonetheless, they continue to behave as if they know everything.

It’s like they got everything sorted out. They never want to learn why they are broke. There is always someone else or something else to be blamed.

If you have a mindset like this, it may be difficult for you to succeed.

Whenever you fail you may decide to learn from your mistakes and try once again or you may decide to quit. Your decision determines if you’ll be successful or not. Learn from your mistakes and become a better version of yourself.

Don’t quit – never!

Remember that failure is simply a word used to describe those who are willing to give up as soon as they encounter a challenge.

They don’t take the time to figure out why they failed and how they can improve their strategy to turn the failure into success.

I recommend not being discouraged by failure and instead being able to learn from your mistakes until you reach your target. Set a goal for how much money you want to make and make a plan to learn all you can before you hit it.

3. No Persistence

Persistence is the key to success. It really doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. Eventually, you’ll reach your goals.

When I first started blogging in late 2008, the intention of making money was not in my mind. I was blogging as I wanted to.

The idea of making money through blogging came to my mind after almost three years. I was very interested to make my first dollar online.

I sold my first blog for $5,500.

At that time, it was a lot of money for me.

That was my first income online and I was highly motivated to start more blogs with the intention to sell them at higher prices.

I soon realized I was not getting any progress.

Because I was solely focused on selling the blog and doing it fast without focusing much on quality or why people would want to buy my blog.

I stopped blogging for some months and decided to start again with the intention of learning how to actually create a blog that would be worth selling.

I started to learn everything I could. I was not in a hurry anymore to make a sale. I was busy learning how to make my blog worth selling.

Have you heard of the Shiny Object Syndrome?

It’s the tendency for someone to pursue something different, whether it’s a new business idea or a new goal, rather than staying focused on what they’re doing right now. It is similar to what was happening to me. Obviously, my blogs couldn’t be sold. I wasted time, money, and energy for nothing.

That’s when I realized that it’s very important to stay focused and stop getting distracted. Make sure you have a mindset like this.

Otherwise, you may get stuck in the Shiny Object Syndrome.

The point is that you have to set a target.

Have a plan and stick to it, no matter how complicated things get. If you stick to the plan long enough, you’ll be well on your way to achieving your goals.

And, I must say I’ve learned a lot of things throughout this journey.

So, if you’ve got something you’d like to learn about, do it.

You can never learn too much…

And, be persistent at what you do.

Persistence is key!

4. Not Having Confidence

You need to trust yourself enough to take risks.

You need to have 100% confidence in your own ability. Because in order to be able to do something you must first believe you can do it.

You need to remove any element of doubt that might be holding you back & you need to repeatedly tell yourself that you CAN do it…

Because you CAN!

The majority of people are unable to succeed because they lack confidence in their abilities. They are unsure of the idea or strategy they are pursuing.

As a beginner, even if you are not feeling confident in your abilities; trust me YOU CAN DO IT. I don’t know if there’s any other way to motivate you.

I’m not talking about false confidence. I mean to have the self-belief that allows you to always move forward even when you’re not sure what to do next; and the ability to always take action no matter how small, even it’s just a step forward.

An effective way to motivate yourself is to stop thinking like a victim.

Most people tend to think of themselves as victims in life; but, you can change this thinking. If you truly want to be successful, then start thinking about yourself as a victor! You must act like one.

If you don’t believe in yourself, then who will?

Don’t wait for a miracle to happen. You have to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

No one will do it for you…

Anyone with a little bit of brain can easily make an extra few hundred dollars per month online. At least that’s what I believe in.

A lot of people think that companies in the online business are making money by cheating people. But that’s not always true… The truth is that most people are just too lazy to do their homework.

Most of the time, you can easily do it with a few hours of effort per day.

So, have the confidence of knowing that you can do it! You’ll be surprised how far this confidence can take you.

5. No Burning Desire for Success

Everyone wants success. But not everyone gets it.

So what’s the difference?

The main difference between a successful person and someone who is not successful is in their mindset and their thinking pattern.

Are you just interested? Or you are committed to doing and learning everything it takes to find success. What kind of mindset do you have?

Do you feel a burning desire to do everything it takes to make money online?

A burning desire is crucial to making thousands of dollars online.

If you feel that you don’t have these qualities, you need to undergo some serious mindset changes. Seriously! In fact, making your first dollar online shouldn’t be difficult as long as you continue to follow the right steps.

Distractions are everywhere. I am sure you know that already.

If you don’t create a specific schedule to get things done, then there’s a chance you’ll be distracted by random things.

Another problem is the lack of focus on a specific goal. If you can’t stay focused on the task at hand, then you will end up getting nothing done.

Even smartphones can create distractions!

I know it sounds funny, but it’s true.

Smartphones have a lot of cool applications that can be distracting. By downloading and installing a few apps, you can waste hours on them without even realizing how much time has passed.

So, if you want to save time and be more productive, I suggest you stop using your smartphone when you are working on a specific task.

Personally, I have been doing this for years.

You won’t realize it. But, the internet can also be a huge distraction.

If you follow the latest news from time to time, then it’s not a big deal. But, if you follow a lot of news and read numerous articles every day that will sure waste a good portion of your productive time.

For example, if you read the news just once per day then it won’t have a significant impact on your productive time. However, if you read the news more than once per day then it will take more time for you. In my own opinion, the best way to stay productive is to avoid all kinds of distractions.

Distractions play one of the most important roles in preventing people from achieving true success in their lives.

7. The Fear of Failure

I know it’s difficult and can be painful, but you’ll thank me later.

For some reason, most people are afraid of failure.

I know it’s human nature to be afraid of failure, but this fear of failure is one of the main reasons people are not successful.

Don’t worry about it…

It’s only natural to be afraid of the unknown.

But, if you want to be successful in life, you can’t escape this fear.

You have to conquer your fear of failure.

If you have a fear of failing, then it will be difficult to find success online.

The most important thing you need to conquer your fear of failure is knowledge and confidence. You have to make a decision and commit yourself to it. You have to believe in yourself and decide what you want to do.

From that point on, make a decision and stick to it.

This is the only way.

You have to take risks in order to be successful.

Even if you fail, remember that your failure is nothing but a lesson. So, don’t be afraid! Failure is the only way to success!

8. Not Believing in Your Idea

If you don’t believe in your idea, it will be difficult to keep going forward. The most important thing is to stay positive and believe that you will succeed sooner or later. You have to believe that your idea is unique.

If you don’t, then you’re just wasting your precious time.

On the other hand, if you believe in yourself and your idea, then nothing can stop you. You can face any obstacle and defeat it!

When you’re just starting out, there are many challenges and obstacles that you have to face. But, if you want to be successful, you shouldn’t panic. No matter how many obstacles you face, just keep going and ignore them all.

When you’re determined to reach your goals, your ideas will become a reality. If you want to be successful, it’s always better to keep your eyes on the prize.

When we want to achieve a goal, it is very reasonable to have the conviction that we are going to win. But, what often happens is that at some point, doubt can seep into our minds, and then because of that, good intentions may become good excuses.

Having a goal without believing that you are able to reach it leads only to dissatisfaction with yourself. That’s why you must believe in yourself and your ideas, otherwise, it will be difficult to persevere.

To succeed, you have to be convinced that you will succeed. You need to know that your idea is great and that success is certain.

Therefore, the next time doubts arise, remember what is at stake here; everything! Don’t let doubt force you into an impasse.

If you are not fully convinced about your idea, then it’s time to go back to the drawing board and make some adjustments. But if there is no need for adjustment, then believe in your idea. You have to be completely comfortable with everything about your business. Otherwise, you won’t find success online!

9. Not Being Consistent

It takes time to see positive results. You can’t get success overnight. If you want to be successful, then you have to persist until the end. You must never give up! You can’t lose hope or else all of your efforts will be for nothing!

The one thing that will lead you to success is consistency.

Finish what you start and track your progress.

If you make a decision to be successful, then you have to achieve it. The most important thing is to take action and follow through with your plan. You must set yourself up for success. This doesn’t mean that things will come easy or fast, but if you are persistent enough, then you will succeed!

Basically, consistency determines your success or failure.

If you are not consistent with your efforts, then it will be difficult for you to see any progress in your business.

So, if you want to be successful online, you must be persistent. Don’t ever lose focus or give up on what you’re doing.

Because that’s the fastest way to fail.

But, when you are consistent even if you are taking small steps, eventually you will see positive results. It might take some time, but the results will come!

If you’re not making money, it might be because you don’t follow your passion. If you have passion for what you are doing, it’ll help you stay consistent.

Frankly, if you want to be successful at something, then you have to love what you do. You must discover what makes you happy and then turn that into your business. When your passion becomes your profession or your business, then you’ll never have to work a day in your life. Pretty cool, right?

10. Not Knowing How to Sell

You must know how to sell your product otherwise it will be difficult for you to make money online. If you don’t like talking about yourself or selling your products, then making money online will not be easy for you.

To succeed in business, you need to be able to share what you have to offer and you must be able to sell. You can’t just expect sales from customers!

Every business must go through the process of selling.

This means that if you don’t know how to sell your products or services, then it will be difficult for you to make money online. If you want to succeed in the world of business, you must learn how to sell.

Without sales, you will never earn anything.

Selling is the way that you get money from your customers. That’s why you must keep in mind that selling doesn’t always mean bad or evil. You can sell with honesty and you can share your offering in a beautiful and sincere way.

But, in order to do this, you must be able to sell your product or service.

If you have never sold anything in your life, don’t worry. Just keep in mind that selling is a part of business and it’s not as bad as you think!

However, having a solid strategy or plan will help you achieve success online. So, if you don’t have one yet, then you need to create one soon!

12. Making Excuses

If you think that your business is an excuse for not having a real job or career, then this isn’t healthy. There are people who work hard every single day. They do what they love and they make a living out of it.

People fail because they make excuses and don’t do what needs to be done! So, if you want your online business to succeed and if you want to learn how to make money with it, stop making excuses and start working.

13. Not Reading Enough

If you want to be successful and reach your goals, then start by learning all about it. You can make mistakes and you will learn from them, but you should also make a point to learn everything about what you’re doing.

One of the best ways to keep learning and improving is by reading relevant books and learning from others.

You don’t need to read everything online though! But, if you want your business or blog to be successful, you must learn as much as possible about it.

For example: If you have a blog about health and wellness, start by reading as many blog posts as possible on the topic.

You must also be willing to invest money into your business or blog if you want it to succeed. This means that you should spend money on books, courses, or investing in relevant services for your business.

The point is that if you want your online business to succeed and if you want to run it properly, start learning everything about the topic.

Making money isn’t always easy! There are many people who work hard every day and yet they still struggle with creating a decent living. If you think that money comes easily, then you’re wrong.
