How to Migrate Your Website?

advanced-migration-engine

WPvivid plugin doesn’t only help you backup your WordPress website or blog, but it can also be used to migrate your website from one web host to another.

To be honest, it is one of the most useful plugins I have seen when it comes to website migration. And the best part is that it is free.

While most hosting services will charge you for migrating your website to their servers, you can use WPvivid to migrate your website for free. It’s useful for people who want to do it manually and don’t want to wait for a migration service.

You can choose which content you want to migrate:

  • The entire website
  • Only the files
  • Only the database

All you need to do is install the WPvivid plugin in both WordPress installations:

  • Your original WordPress website
  • A fresh WordPress installation on the other web host where you want to migrate your existing website files and database

The migration process is as simple as setting up the backups.

Here’s a step-by-step process:

  • Install WPvivid in your original WordPress site
  • Install WPvivid in your WordPress installation on the other host
  • Go to the “Key” Tab in WPvivid settings on the destination site
  • Generate a Key by clicking on the “Generate” button
  • Copy the key that is generated
  • Log in to your existing which you want to migrate
  • Go to WPvivid dashboard and click the “Auto-migration” tab.
  • Paste the copied key in the given text box and save it.
  • Click the “Clone then transfer” button

The plugin will now start migrating your website.

That’s it!

The plugin will then take care of the rest and will automatically copy all your files and transfer your website into the new WordPress installation. You can also view the logs to see the progress of the migration process.

The process may take some time, so be patient. Once the migration is complete, you can delete the WPvivid plugin from your original WordPress site and keep it installed in your WordPress site on the other web host.

So, there you have it.

So, you can see how easy it is to use the WPvivid plugin. All you need to do is install the plugin in both WordPress installations and follow the process.

You can use this plugin to transfer your site to a different domain as well. I’ve created a comprehensive tutorial on how to use the WPvivid plugin to transfer your WordPress website to a different domain easily. Click here to find it.

Final Thoughts

WPvivid is an amazing backup and migration plugin that I highly recommend. It is easy to use and offers a lot of useful features. Apart from BlogVault and Updraftplus, I recommend this plugin for backing up your WordPress blog or website. You should check out WPvivid if you haven’t already.

Frankly speaking, the free version is quite sufficient for most users.

However, the premium version offers some extremely useful features that can’t be ignored if you are serious about backing up your websites. So, make sure you check out the premium version as well.

Some of the top features of the premium version:

  • Incremental backup
  • Additional database backup
  • Database backup encryption
  • Powerful schedule engine
  • Send backups to multiple cloud storage
  • Included/excluded strategy (files/folders/file types)
  • Advanced Auto-migration (customize everything to migrate)

The best thing?

You can use the premium version by taking a free trial at the WPvivid website. The trial period is 14 days and you don’t need to share credit card details.

The pricing starts at $49/year for two websites and goes up to $149/year for an unlimited number of websites. To be honest, it’s quite cheap when compared to similar backup plugins out there.

So, what are you waiting for?

Check out WPvivid plugin now!

If, however, you find out that this plugin does not fit your needs, then I strongly recommend BlogVault. It is a premium plugin that offers a lot of features and is highly popular among WordPress users. Check my review here.
